1. What is the warranty period for my Epson Discproducer?
  The Epson Discproducer comes with a standard, one-year, limited warranty in the U.S. and Canada. Extended warranties are available beyond one year.
2. How do I obtain Technical Support on my Epson Discproducer product?
  Technical Support can be obtained by calling 562-276-1360, between the hours of 7am to 5pm, M-F, PST. Technical Support hours are subject to change.
3. How can I extend the warranty?
  Epson provides a family of service programs called Epson ExpressCareSM. With ExpressCare, you can choose the service program that best suits your needs from extending warranty coverage to replacing a unit overnight.
4. How do I obtain repair service on my Epson Discproducer product?
  Epson has a nationwide base of Authorized Service Providers that can help you with your repair needs in or out-of-warranty. If you're covered by an Epson ExpressCare program, contact the toll-free number for your service plan to receive immediate assistance.
5. What service programs are offered by Epson?

Epson's industry-leading whole unit repair and return process is designed for both in-warranty and out-of-warranty products. All components are tested upon receipt and necessary service and repair is performed by Epson's depot repair group. To ensure the least disruption of service, products are typically returned in just 2-3 business days.

1. Can the drives be upgraded to Dual-Layer, Blue-Ray, etc.?
  No, not at this time.
2. Why does the PP-100 display a Stacker 3 error when Stacker 3 is installed?
  When Stacker 3 is installed and the Publish Mode is set to Standard Mode (Default Setting) or External Output Mode, Stacker 3 should not be installed. Stacker 3 should only be installed when the Publish Mode is set to Batch Mode.
3. What type of media do you recommend using?
  For the best label image Epson specifies Taiyo Yuden Watershield media.
4. Do I have to use the Total Disc Maker Software to write data on to the discs or print on the CDs?
  Printing does not, however, copy (burn) requires Total Disc Maker Software. Use Total Disc Bridge software to link your application to Discproducer.
5. How long can my USB cable be? I want to locate the machine about 25 feet away from my computer.
  25 feet is probably too far. We recommend 6 to 8 ft.
6. My computer has USB 1.1 ports, can I install an add-on card that supports USB 2.0 and use it with this product?
  Yes, if other system requirements are met.
7. Why does it take so long for the machine to turn off?
  This is normal and required to park the robotic arm and print head, etc.
8. Can I stack two units on top of each other?
  Yes.
9. How do I obtain Technical Support on my Epson Discproducer product?

10. Why do my discs have an error mark printed on them?
  By default all discs that have a write error will have an error mark printed on them.
11. Can I disable the printing of the error mark?
  This function can be disabled in External or Standard Mode only. If utilizing batch mode this feature cannot be disabled. If you wish to disable this function go to the Publish tab in Total Disc Maker and click on the icon to the right of the Output Device box that says “Properties.” After clicking on the icon a window showing the selected publisher’s properties appears. Under Printer Settings uncheck the box that says “Show error mark on discs that experience errors” and then press Apply.
12. Where are the discs that have an error placed?
  In Standard and External mode discs with error marks will be placed in tray 4. In Batch mode discs will be placed in either stacker 2 or stacker 3.
13. Can I use my notebook computer to burn discs on the PP-100 Discproducer?
  Yes, as long as your notebook's specifications meets the minimum requirements of the PP-100. Please note that some notebook manufacturers use lower 5400 RPM hard drives to conserve battery power. 5400 RPM hard drives do not meet the PP-100's minimum required specification for hard drive rotation speed..
